After graduating from university, Akiko engaged in a general back office at an engineering company that has many transactions with overseas companies. She retired after her marriage and her husband’s overseas expatriation, and has been stationed in Qatar and Brazil, and now lives in Singapore. As she has been exposed to overseas food culture and customs for more than 10 years, she realized the importance of food and the appeal of Japanese food.

She is currently involved in many PR projects for food products for overseas markets as a sales associate. While she enjoys communicating with producers, business partners, and consumers  she feels that “food” is a language that connects people. It is not only conveys joy and emotion, but also it creates nice relationships.

She will continue to value meeting people and face food with gratitude and passion.
